Billboard advertising is the practice of marketing a company, brand, product, service, or campaign by employing a large-scale print advertisement (a billboard). Billboards are often placed in high-traffic locations, such as highways and cities, to ensure that they are seen by the greatest number of vehicles and pedestrians (Hubspot, n.d.). When we think about marketing we think about the congested area where a lot of people can see our advertisements and buy products. Denver is the most populated, walkable city in the United States and is known as “Mile-High City” (Wikipedia, n.d.). which means that it is the popular hub of advertisement, this can meet the end goal of the campaign of maximizing reach.

Billboard Advertising Cost
The billboard advertising in Denver is more efficient than many other forms of advertising because billboards catch the attention of countless people in just one minute due to the popularity of the city. As the city is well known for not four or five but is the home for seven professional sports teams. The popularity of the city doesn’t stop here, also due to low housing rates, which links to the low cost of living. This is also one of the many reasons why individuals are more attracted to Denver and are moving there and selecting Denver for billboard advertising. (Bluelinemedia, n.d.).

Traffic congestion in Denver
Denver is not only popular in tourism but also is getting popular in case of traffic. It’s gotten so bad that Denver now has the 15th worst traffic of all U.S. cities. Locals are spending 1 hour daily in traffic. With the increase in traffic, this is only going to get worse. This is bad for the environment and locals; however, it is one of the best opportunities for advertisers. Due to traffic or how much time people spend traffic, it is only natural that they’ll tend to see around them. This captive amplifies the OOH display. Looking at the same ad every day makes the human mind think that they’ll like that product, and this helps in increasing the sale to 60-70 % (Galloway, 2020).
