Total Wine and More is America’s largest independent retailer of wine, with 245 stores across the country. Of course, what matters to a consumer is — is there one near me? So when support was needed for a location in Palm Springs California, Total Wine, through media agency Active International, came to Movia for help. Rather than pay for broad messaging through traditional media that would reach people to whom the ad might not be relevant, they sent a truck wrapped with their store location and their brand’s unique selling point to specifically drive the routes nearby. Not only did this mean that the people most likely to be interested in the store saw the messaging, it meant they would assume that a Total Wine truck was coming in for a big delivery. Over an 8 week period, 2.4 million impressions were achieved. Resulting in the 2 things any retailer is ultimately after - a busier store… and more recognized brand.
